There are so many variations of this classic refreshing cocktail that I’m not even able to count them. Here I would like to represent you one of my favorite twists of the immortal MOJITO. If you are in a mood for something fruity, this will be the right choice. In this version, we use dark or aged rum and we can make it in two different ways. The first way is the original one – you must muddle brown sugar, one strawberry and two lemon wedges, then bash the mint, add the rum and after that, you churn the whole mix and garnish with a half strawberry + Mint sprig. The second preparation method is a bit more classy because you don’t have any muddled fruit pieces in your drink, because of in a cocktail shaker, muddle the lemon wedges with the whole strawberries and mint leaves. Add ice and the rum, lemon juice, and sugar cane syrup; shake well. Strain into crushed ice–filled highball glasses. Garnish with the berry halves and mint sprigs.
2 Lemon Wedges
6-8 Mint leafs + 1 Mint sprig for Garnish
1 Strawberry + half for garnish
Cubed and Crushed ice
4cl Dark or Aged Rum
1,5cl Lemon Juice
2BS Brown Sugar / 2cl Sugar-Cane Syrop (it depends on which version you gonna make)
